We’re at a pivotal stage of growth, aiming to scale our business to $150M GSV. We’re seeking a visionary Director of Sales ( DoS) to lead our revenue strategy, drive sustainable growth, and build the operational foundation for scaling our marketplace while preserving our agility and customer-centric approach.
Role Overview
The DoS will serve as a key member of our leadership team, responsible for revenue-generating functions. This includes sales, marketing, and customer acquisition strategies
As DoS, you will design and implement scalable strategies to expand OdeCloud’s footprint, attract more hiring managers and consultants to our platform, and solidify our position as the premier marketplace for top-tier talent, supported by advanced ML/AI-driven insights and collective intelligence systems.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Growth & Strategy
- Develop and own the company’s revenue strategy, setting the roadmap to scale our business to $150M GSV.
- Identify and execute opportunities to expand customer acquisition channels, including partnerships, strategic alliances, and enterprise relationships.
- Drive the go-to-market strategy, optimizing customer segmentation, pricing models, and market positioning.
- Leverage data and machine learning insights to continuously assess and refine revenue strategies.
Sales Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing sales team to execute on revenue goals.
- Establish clear KPIs and sales processes, ensuring predictable and scalable revenue growth.
- Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high achievement within the sales organization.
- Develop enterprise and mid-market sales strategies tailored to OdeCloud’s B2B audience.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and other executive leaders to align revenue goals with the company’s broader mission and growth plans.
- Foster collaboration between sales, marketing, and customer success teams to deliver an integrated approach to customer acquisition and retention.
- Serve as a thought leader in industry forums, events, and networking opportunities to elevate OdeCloud’s presence and credibility in the market.
Qualifications
- Proven Track Record: 10+ years of experience in revenue strategy and generating roles, with a successful track record of scaling early-stage tech companies (preferably talent marketplaces) to $50M+ ARR or $100M+ GSV.
- B2B Marketplace Expertise: Demonstrated experience with the dynamics of B2B online marketplaces, preferably within talent marketplaces.
- Startup Expertise: Deep understanding of startup dynamics, including lean operations, rapid iteration, and scaling revenue models.
- Sales & Marketing Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead sales and marketing teams, driving alignment and performance across functions.
- B2B Focus: Experience with enterprise and mid-market customer acquisition, particularly in marketplaces or SaaS platforms.
- Data-Driven Approach: Familiarity with leveraging data and analytics to drive strategy and decision-making.
- Visionary Leadership: Inspirational leader with the ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems is a plus.
